The sign is a Joint project between H&R Trains and the city of Pinellas Park to both beautify the intersection and help increase safety. The north bound lane of Haines Road can be quite confusing to an unfamiliar motorist at night due to the oncoming headlights from the south bound traffic on US 19. The new sign helps to hide the oncoming headlights making it much less likely to miss the left turn of Haines Road as it enters US Highway 19.

The entire area around the sign has been landscaped with Vincus and variegated green Lirope. There are three Robeleni Palms at either end of the sign and two Cabbage Palms behind the sign. The rest of the parkway to the north has been sodded and now includes a ten foot wide by seventy foot long flower bed with bright pink Periwinkles.
