H&R Trains is located on the central west coast of Florida in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area. We are on an acre of land at the corner of 6901 US Highway 19 North and Haines Road in Pinellas Park, Florida. We are easily accessible from all Florida west coast locations. Just 15 minutes from the Tampa airport, 15 minutes from downtown St. Petersburg, and only one hour west of Walt Disney World, Ebcot Center, Seaworld, Universal Studios, and other Florida attractions.

In this day and age of the Internet, Shopping Carts, E-mail, and Smart Phones it seems that more and more of our customers have never been inside our store. Over the past 35 years we have served well over 50,000 customers from all over the globe. Many of these customers have been in the store at least once but as time goes on their lives are ever changing and so is our business.

Over time we have grown until We are the Second Largest Train Store in the USA with over 32,000 railroad related items in stock at any one tome. Since I am the one that does our web site I can tell you that getting even a small percentage of those items on our web site is a real challenge. Those items are constantly changing on a daily basis. Just this week as an example Alice tells me that we received more than 70 new items that we have never had before. Since our number of products seems stable at 32,000 that means that there are 70 items that we had last week that are gone forever, or at least until the manufacturer makes it again.

Since we now have a new Shopping Cart on our web site it will make it more convenient for many of our customers to shop on line but I can tell you that you are going to be missing out on some really great opportunities to see some great new products that will never make it to our Web Site. This is because they will be sold out almost before I can take their photograph to load them onto the Web Site.

Those of you that do not happen to live in the area of the Florida that we are in, could be missing out on a lot of good stuff. We would love to see more of you that normally would not come to the distant Southeast of a very large piece of real estate that our country is, but it is a great place to visit and we would love to meet you.

Let me tell you a little about our neighborhood. A little less than a mile from the store is a county park right in the middle of St. Petersburg where you can see live alligators in the wild. There are more than twenty wonderful county parks within a thirty minute drive from H&R Trains.

There are hundreds of miles of beautiful white sandy beaches in Florida and There is a beach at Fort Desoto park not 20 minutes from our store that has been voted the best beach on the planet for a dozen or more of the last twenty years. By the way there is no oil on our beaches. We are surrounded by the water of Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico with great fishing, sailing, and canoeing.

There are hundreds of miles of Hiking, and Bicycle Trails, and there are numerous museums including The Dale museum, and others.

Walt Disney World, Bush Gardens, Sea World, Universal Studios and other theme parks are all within an hours drive.

There is only one more Space shuttle launch that you could view up close and personal just an hour and a half drive from our store but the visitors canter at the Kennedy Space Center is a must see while you are here anyway.

Many of our customers vacation in Florida and shop with us while they are here and an ever increasing number have relocated here and become not only good customers but Floridians as well.
