Our Engine and Car Shops are equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment and full time, factory trained technicians skilled in accomplishing whatever your needs may be.

Preventative maintenance includes a thorough inspection, cleaning and lubrication. At the same time we will also take care of replacement of parts such as brushes, traction tires, light bulbs, smoke units or any other necessary repairs.

We do repairs on most brands, in all scales. We also offer routine preventative maintenance service to ensure that your locomotives are in good working order. Mike Goettelmann (pictured at right) is doing preventive maintenance on an LGB Christmas sound tender.

Every New Locomotive and Every New Power Supply will be performance tested at the time of sale or before it is shipped to the customer to assure that it runs according to the specifications provided by the manufacturer.

H&R Trains Engine and Car Shops will also test, without charge, the performance of your equipment once each year for five years from the date of purchase.
