As many of you know LGB filed for Bankruptcy about 18 months ago. Shortly thereafter The Marklin Train Company of Goppingen Germany bought the assets of LGB. To complicate matters even more Marklin Trains announced at the Nurnberg Toy Fair in Germany last year that it too was filing for Bankruptcy.
That was the Bad news - Now for the Good news ! |

| Although the bankruptcy has slowed both companies ability to deliver products, things are looking better for both companies..
First we have started to receive much needed Parts from LGB. (See photo at right). These parts include items such as motors, wheels, couplers, traction tires, etc. Even better news is that Märklin administrator Michael Pluta has been quoted recently in the German press as saying the company generated 7 million Euro ($10.2 million) in earnings from April-December 2009. We have also received a good supply of LGB starter sets once again along with track, and quite a few other items that we had not seen in a while. (See Photo Below) |
