Gregg Turner Bio


Gregg Turner is a former director and Curator of the Railway & Locomotive Historical Society at Harvard Business School. He has been fascinated with trains and railroading since childhood, he has authored numerous books and articles on the enterprise of transportation. Later this year University Press of Florida will release his latest work entitled, A Journey into Florida Railroad History.

A Connecticut native,Gregg holds a graduate degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is currently on the business faculty of Southwest Florida College. He resides in Fort Myers, Florida

Some of his recent works include: A Short History of Florida Railroads, Florida Railroads in the 1920s, Railroads of Southwest Florida, The Plant System of Railroads, Steamships & Hotels, A Milestone Celebration: The Seaboard Railway to Naples and Miami, Connecticut Railroads, an Illustrated History, Venice, Florida in the 1920s, Fort Myers, ‘The City of Palms’, Fort Myers in Vintage Postcards.
