The weather cooperated fairly well and construction continued at a rapid pace. Many of the trees and plants are in place making the site look great.
I spoke with Dr. Tom Catherall at the Large Scale Train Show in New Jersey, and he reported that the mountain was nearly completed. They Have covered the styrofoam with synthetic stucco, and painted it to look like the surrounding mountains. Most of the track has been laid around the outside of the mountain as well as through the interior.
I recived an E-mail from Bruce Alger, (pictured above center), to say that "Things were coming together and it is getting exciting. The other day one of the garden club members brought out an engine and a small transformer and hooked it to the stainless steel track with alligator clips. We wiped the track with our bare hands quickly and the engine ran great for the 300 feet of track that it was on. It was great to know that we have good conductivity and smooth running with a minimum of maintenance."

Thanks Bruce, we share in your enthusism for our Stainless Steel Track. Many of our customers have experienced the same pleasure in running their trains more, and maintaining the track less.
