By June 2000 this massive layout has become the largest Garden Railroad in the United States. It was larger than a soccer field and had more than a thirty foot change in elevation. There was more than a mile of Stainless Steel Track, crossing more than 1000 feet of trestles. Some of the highest trestles tower to almost ten feet.
There were over one thousand buildings and structures along with hundreds of miniature animals, figures, barrels, oil drums and other accessories. There was at times thirty or more trains on the layout including both electric and live steam locomotives.

| Dr. Catherall, Bruce Alger and more than fifty volunteers from BYU and the Utah Garden Railroad Society and many others worked for more than two years to build this layout. Although the railroad was not totally finished they put some finishing touches on the railroad in preparation for the first public opening which was on July 14, 2000. |
