Once at the stop sign across from the flag pole the beach that most everyone likes best is the North Beach which means you will need to the right. The north beach is at the far end of the road on your left. You will pass two fishing piers on your left the second of which is reached from the access road to the fort which is also on your left. Near the entrance to the road to the fort there is a canoe rental on the right. From there the road turns to the right north bound toward the North Beach all along that road there is access to the beaches over the dunes but the North Beach has a large and very long parking lot with access to both the parking lot and to the beach at several locations. Near the end of the road there is an entrance to a very nice picnic area on the right side of the road. Just beyond the picnic area is the turn around at the north end of the island. The last North beach parking lot entrance is on the left almost directly across from the entrance to the picnic area.

There are also beaches along the southern shore of the park back near the flag pole If you continue to the end of the road at the East end of the island you may see the parisailers and there very colorful persecutes along the beach.
